A coastal zone contains a range of natural envionments that man uses in different ways to provide a variety of goods and services. Some of these goods (e.g. oil and gas, fish and mangrove wood) and services (e.g. recreational values of beautiful beaches) are tangible and marketable. Other such as nutrient flows, waste reception and stabilization functions are less tangible.Journal
