The chemical composition of tilapias filleted wastes chemical and biological silage, as well as digestibility in vitro in red tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus x O. niloticus), according simple classification model with three repetitions were determined. A total of 270 fish (45,43 ± 8,35 g of average weight) distributed in three treatment (a referent diet and two experimental diets with each fish silage); the chromic oxide was used as an inert indicator and faecal sample were recollected by siphoning from the bottom of tanks. The pH value were lower that 4,3 for both silage, the chemical composition showed high of crude protein content with the required quality for tilapia of Nilo (Oreochromis niloticus). The nutrients digestibility differed from one silage type to another; meanwhile protein was bigger for the chemical silage (89,9 %); and the dry matter, phosphorus and calcius for the biological one. Similar digestibility (p > 0,05) was presented for the fat, energy and ash. As a result, the fishing waste silages presented high nutritional value, that they constitute an alternative- protein source in the formulation of rations in tilapia.
