| Résumé: | En el presente trabajo se relacionan las precipitaciones y la actividad ciclónica en tres estaciones del
Golfo de Batabanó en el período comprendido entre 1972 y 2006. Los datos utilizados para el
análisis son de las estaciones meteorológicas costeras Isabel Rubio, Punta del Este y Batabanó. Se
tomaron promedios de precipitaciones en las temporadas ciclónicas (junio-noviembre) por estación.
Se utilizó el SIG Mapinfo 8.5 para determinar cuáles fueron los ciclones que afectaron la zona de
estudio con el fin de determinar un índice de expresión de la relación entre los ciclones y las
precipitaciones. La variabilidad anual de las precipitaciones en el Golfo de Batabanó en el período
referido anteriormente, muestra un comportamiento cíclico, se observan fluctuaciones que corresponden
con períodos lluviosos y secos (1974-1978, 1983-1994). El promedio histórico de precipitaciones
fue de 1 296 mm. En cuanto a la variabilidad mensual de las precipitaciones en el Golfo de Batabanó,
se obtuvo que el mes de septiembre fue el más lluvioso y junio en segundo lugar, con un pico en
noviembre de 1980 de 378,3 mm. De las estaciones estudiadas los ciclones afectan con más frecuencia
a Punta del Este, siendo en esta mayor la influencia que producen los mismos en las precipitaciones.
Los ciclones que pasan por el Golfo de Batabanó afectan en más del 30 % las precipitaciones en las
tres estaciones estudiadas.
In the present work the rains and the cyclone activity in three stations on the Gulf of Batabanó in the
period between 1972 and 2006 are related. The data of the used meteorological stations in the analysis
were Isabel Rubio, Punta del Este and Batabanó. Monthly averages of each station in the cyclonal
seasons were taken the values from precipitations (June-November). The GIS Mapinfo 8.5 program
was used to determine as they were the cyclones that affected the zone of study with the purpose of
determining an index of expression of the relation between cyclones and rains. The annual variability of
precipitations in the Gulf of Batabanó in the period between 1972-2006, shows a cyclical behavior,
where fluctuations are observed that correspond with rainy and dry periods (1974-1978, 1983-1994).
The historical average of precipitations was 1 296 mm. In relation to the monthly variability of
precipitations in the Gulf of Batabanó, it was obtained that the month of September is the rainiest and
June secondly, with a maximum in November of 1980 of 378,3 mm. It was obtained that in the study
zone, the cyclonic activity affect with more frequency the Punta del Este station, and their precipitations
too. The cyclones that pass by the Gulf of Batabanó affect in more of 30 % the precipitations in the
three studied stations. |
