Juveniles y adultos del camarón titi Xiphopenaeus kroyerí (Heller) fueron colectados mensualmente en Costa Verde (Ciénaga), Caribe colombiano, entre septiembre 788 y junio /89. Se determinaron los Ítems alimentarios más importantes, siendo estos en orden descendente: detritus, fragmentos de conchas de bivalvos, poliquetos, foraminíferos y crustáceos. Se detectaron diferencias en la alimentación entre la época lluviosa (septiembre a diciembre) y la época seca (enero a junio), presentándose algunos ítems como rotíferos, esponjas y radiolarios sólo en la época seca. Se analizaron las frecuencias de aparición de los diferentes Ítems en camarones adultos y juveniles, encontrándose que ciertos grupos como rotíferos y briozoos son más frecuentes en juveniles. Se determinaron niveles de proteínas y carbohidratos en los contenidos estomacales, encontrándose picos máximos de proteínas en septiembre para adultos (92.03 ug/mg de contenido estomacal seco) y diciembre para juveniles (81.27 ug/mg), y de carbohidratos en octubre para adultos (45.81 ug/mg) y en diciembre para juveniles (35.25 ug/mg). Las diferencias cuantitativas en estos compuestos entre los dos grupos de talla no son significativas.Juveniles and adultsof the seabobXfp/iopenaeusAvoyer/(Heller) were collected at monthly invervals between September 1988 and June 1988. The food Ítems were determined in order of descending importance as: detritus and fragments of bivalve shells, polychaete worms, foraminiferans, andcrustaceans. Analysis of the frequency of occurrence of dífferent food Ítems showed that groups like rotifers and bryozoans appear more frequently in juveniles. Measurements of protein and carbohydrate levéis in the stomach contents revealed the highest peaks of proteins for adults in September (92.03 ug/mg dry weightof stomach contents) and for juveniles in December (81.27 ug/mg), and of arbohydrates for adults in October (45.81 ug/mg) and for juveniles ¡n December (35.25 ug/mg). Quantitative differences in proteins and carbohydrates between the two size groups were not statistically sígníficant.
