| Résumé: | Se registran por primera vez 49 especies de macroalgas (7 Chlorophyta, 4 Phaeophyta y 38 Rhodophyta) para el Banco de las Animas, al suroeste de la ciudad de Santa Marta en el golfo de Salamanca. Las recolecciones se realizaron entre 20 y 30 m de profundidad. El alga verde Halimeda gracilis Harvey ex J. Agardh y las rojas Corynomorpha clávala (Harvey) J. Agardh, Cryptonemia sp., Acrothamnion butleriae (Collins) Kylin, Antithamnion ogdeniae Abbott, Antithamnionellabreviramosa (Dawson) Wollaston en Womersley y Bailey, Hypoglossumsimulans Wynne, Pnce et Ballantine e H. subsimplex Wynne, son nuevos registros para Colombia. La composición florística de este banco tiene una similitud del 81 % con relación a la presente en el Parque Natural Nacional Tairona, en las mismas profundidades. Por esta característica más la exuberancia de ciertas especies, se considera al Banco de las Animas como un lugar de refugio, en el cual estas plantas evaden a los peces y erizos herbívoros de los fondos rocoso-coralinos someros.
Forty nine macroalgal species (7 Chlorophyta, 4 Phaeophyta and 38 Rhodophyta) are reported for the first time for the Banco de las Animas, •'at the southwest of Santa Marta City (Salamanca Gulf, Colombia). The collections were made between 20 and 30 m depth. The green alga Halimeda gracilis Harvey ex J. Agardh and the red ones Corynomorpha claveta (Harvey) J. Agardh, Cryptonemia sp., Acrothamnion butleriae (Collins) Kylin, Antithamnion ogdeniae Abbott, Antithamnionella breviramosa (Dawson) Wollaston in. Womersley and Bailey, Hypoglossum simulans Wynne, Price et Ballantine and H. subsimplex Wynne, are new records for the Caribbean coastof Colombia. Thefloristiccompositionof thebankhasasimilarity of 81 % withtheonepresent at the same depths in the Tairona Natural National Park. Due to this characteristic and to the exuberance of certain species, the Banco de las Animas is considered a refuge, ¡n which these plants avoid the herbivorous fishes and urchins of the shallow rock-coral reefs. |
