| Abstract: | El presente proyecto marca el inicio de los trabajos geodésicos del Ecuador en el continente Antártico, y nació por la necesidad de contar con una base de partida para establecer el fotocontrol necesario para obtener la restitución aerofotogramétrica del sector, base para la edición de una carta naútica como aporte a la seguridad en la navegación. Abarca un sector donde no existen sondeos realizados por otros países.
This paper deals with geodetic work performed around Point Fort Williams, Greenwich Island during the Second Ecuadorian Expedition to Antarctica. It starts a medium term project giving as ending result a complete geodetic net to establish photocontrol for aerophotogrametric restitution of the area, which will serve as a base for nautical charts. |
