Assessment of animal and plant protein ratios in white shrimp juvenileAbstract
With the objective to determining the effect of different animal and plant protein ratios in white shrimp juvenile Litopenaeus schmitti diet, a totally randomized design was carried out at laboratory scale during 66 days. Five isonitrogenous and isocaloric practical diets were tested, with animal protein:plant protein ratios of 1:0, 2:1, 1:1, 1:2 and 1:1. Shrimps fed with food that contains only plant protein reached the smaller growth (p < 0,05). The histological analysis has shown degeneration and hypertrophy of the hepatopancreas when animal and plant protein ratio was 1:Journal
