| Abstract: | With the objective to determining the effect of different animal and plant protein ratios in white shrimp juvenile
Litopenaeus schmitti diet, a totally randomized design was carried out at laboratory scale during 66 days. Five
isonitrogenous and isocaloric practical diets were tested, with animal protein:plant protein ratios of 1:0, 2:1,
1:1, 1:2 and 1:1. Shrimps fed with food that contains only plant protein reached the smaller growth
(p < 0,05). The histological analysis has shown degeneration and hypertrophy of the hepatopancreas when
animal and plant protein ratio was 1: |
