| Abstract: | De los arrecifes subfósiles elevados que forman las Islas del Rosario al suroeste de Cartagena, fueron recolectadas conchas de 51 especies de (Gasterópodos) y 22 especies de (Pelecypodos) todos pertenecientes a la fauna reciente también conchas muy frágiles se encontraron completamente enteras, hecho que indica la poca edad de estos arrecifes subfósiles, que se estima de no más que ----10000 años. Un hallazgo interesante es un ejemplar de la especie Conus granulatus.
In the subfossil, elevated coral reefs which form the Islas del Rosario, southwest of Cartagena (Colombia), 51 species of Gastropoda and 22 species of Pelecypoda were collected, all of them belonging to the recent Caribbean fauna. Even fragile shells could be obtained completely intact, which indicates the little age of these cliffs, as it has been estimated by two authors less than 10000 years. An interesting species secured is Conus granulatus. |
