| Abstract: | se estudian 17 muestras de sedimentos superficiales de fondo de la zona costera de Manta. Se presentan las características sedimentológicas en base al análisis granulométrico, parámetros estadísticos y distribución de los sedimentos.
Se establece que los sedimentos arenosos predominan en el área, y se ubican en el lado oeste y este del área de estudio. También hay limo y mezclas de este con arena.
A study of 17 samples of marine sediments taken from the seafloor off the coast of Manta, Ecuador was conducted.
Characteristics of the sediments were defined based upon granulometric analysis, statistical parameters, and sediment distribution.
Sandy sediments predominanted in the study area, and were colected on both the west and east sides. Also, there was silt and mixture with sand in the studied samples. |
