| Résumé: | Se presentan datos con respecto a la forma de vida y del ambiente de 13 mesogastropodos superiores. Los huevos de Strombus gigas, S. pugilis, Polinices lacteus, P. hepaticus, Natica livida, N. canrena, Morum oniscus, Cypraecassis testiculus, Charonia variegata, Cymatium nicobaricum, C. pileare, Bursa cubaniana y Tonna galea se describen en detalle y se caracterizan las larvas recién nacidas. En la mayoría de las especies mencionadas se pudo determinar el tiempo de desarrollo desde el huevo hasta su nacimiento. Los huevos aquí descritos son comparados con lo que se conoce de la literatura, según sus caracteres morfológicos se distinguen seis tipos de cápsulas y masas de huevos.
Data on the life of 13 higher mesogastropoda from the Caribbean concerning their living environment and their food requirements are provided. spawn of Strombus gigas, S. pugilis, Polinices lacteus, P. hepaticus, Natica livida, N. canrena, Morum Oniscus, Cypraecassis testiculus, Charonia variegata Cymatium nicobaricum, C. pileare, Bursa cubaniana, and Tonna galea are described in detail and hatching young are characterized. For most mentioned species tthe time of development until hatching was noted. A comparison of the here described spawn with that already known from the literature was carried out in distinguishing 6 general types of egg-case and egg-mass morphologies. |
