| Abstract: | The samples for the identification of phytoplankton were taken in the Guayas river during the monyhs of January, February, March, July, september, October and December of 1987, and from the month of January to the month of December of 1988. The investigation was carried out on 152 samples, in wich, 102 species were identified following the sistematic and taxonomic work of several authors. |
