| Abstract: | This guide has been prepared to assist Member States of Intergovernmental Oceanographic

the early 1960s, approximately 55 Member States of IOC have established oceanographic data centres
or designated a national agency as responsible for international oceanographic data and information
exchange. These data centres and designated national agencies (DNAs) support both national and
international clients with oceanographic data and information services. |
