| Abstract: | En el presente documento se realiza un análisis detallado de la serie de datos diaria del nivel medio del mar correspondiente a la estación costera de Puerto Bolívar, provincia de El Oro, Ecuador, en donde se han reportado subidas frecuentes y exageradas del NMM.
A database of the mean the sea level for about 32 years of daily measurements (1970-2002) is analyzed which have been measured by, a tide recorder located at the coastal town Puerto Bolívar and belonging to the Navy Oceanographic Institute. An analysis of the trend and changes occurred in the period of measurements is developed. The data have been processed and corrected considering an unique level of reference and results indicated a tendency to increase the mean sea level in the next years. |
