| Abstract: | This work, it is applied a unidirectional and stationary model for estimating
the dissolved oxygen distribution in the area of the Gulf of Batabanó, starting from the
influence of physical-biological parameters (marine currents, temperature, salinity,
photosynthesis and respiration). In this first approach, estimates of the dissolved oxygen
concentration are obtained for Ensenada de la Broa, with an error of 0.2693 mg/L, while
for the rest of the Gulf the estimate error oscillated between -4.13 y -4.69 mg/L.
Consequently, it is concluded that the pattern is efficient for the estimate of dissolved
oxygen concentration in Ensenada de La Broa, while for the rest of the Gulf it is not
enough the consideration of primary production in the water column as only source of oxygen contribution. |
