| Abstract: | This is the first paper in which back-calculation is applied to growth study on Mar del Plata mackerel (Scomber japonicus). The edge of 2102 otoliths sagittae were analyzed and age reading and mesurements were done in 609 of them. It was stated that hyaline ring formation is annual and that it occurs during the winter and the spawning season. |
