The Southern African Data Centre for Oceanography (SADCO) is located in the CSIR in Stellenbosch, close to Cape Town, South Africa. It archives, extracts and manipulates multi disciplinary oceanographic data in a large area around the southern African subcontinent. The data centre makes use of the staff of the CSIR for all activities of the centre (management, data processing, database design and loading, IT and network support, and handling of requests). The data centre is small, and focuses on data within the physical oceanographic domain. It is fully computerised and networked.Pages
