| Abstract: | The CENDOC is the Chilean Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) officially established in 1968 as part of the IODE-IOC system. It was also established as National Oceanographic Center (NOC) as part of the IGOSS program of WMO/IOC system. It is located in Valparaíso at the Servicio Hidrográfico y Oceanográfico de la Armada de Chile (SHOA), sharing facilities with the Department of Oceanography. As an NODC, CENDOC acquires, processes, quality controls, inventories, archives and disseminates data in accordance with national responsibilities. Also assumes the responsibility for international exchange. |
